I have learned by doing my research paper that every thing you used must be cited even if your paraphrasing the quote or information. My  college level research changed my understanding of how a research paper is actually written. I didn't know that even if your paraphrasing you still have to cite the source .


My advice to future students would be if your having an a problem with your research paper let the professor its helpful and do all your hybrid assignment before the due date . If you do the assignment you get credit for it and you wont have to rush to hand in it because it was done before the due date .My suggestion would be to use Gale or Jstor their easier and more help than other source in my perspective .

As I approach milestone five I would done all the assignment and not miss one because did miss one hybrid assignment .I've learned how to do a college research paper and how to cite better especially for the work cited page .

The topic and thesis i spoke  about is schizophrenia and how a movie with schizophrenia is inaccurate . I chose a movie called A beautiful Mind .  i discovery during my research is there a lot research that goes into a research paper . I didn't change mind or made my ideas more complicated during this research paper . I used Jstor Gale, and ProQuest but i found  that gale was more helpful. Gale was helpful especially with the symptoms of schizophrenia, it helped me understand the disorder more.

Hollywood aren't always realistic but sometimes the morals or the message can be implied to the real world . Movies such as Spider man or Batman aren't realistic but the morality of the film is such as the line from spider man with great gift comes with great responsibility which is true. The ability to do anything comes with responsibility.On the other hand , scientific movies or based on a true story are somewhat realistic because its based on events that can happen. On that thought i think sometimes Hollywood can be a reliable source depending on the movie or genre.

I m doing my research based on beautiful mind I m using A Beautiful Mind [Book] by Sylvia Nasar; A Beautiful Mind [Movie] by Ron Howard reviewed by James braider . this source was found from the gale virtual reference library the relevant information n is it provides insight from the book perspective from the  movie. the definitions and arguments of schizophrenia varies as mention in a gale group source "one's mental associations, thoughts, and emotions, which are usually integrated with one another, are loosened or split". Schizophrenia doesn't nesscary ly accurate because the emotions aren't split but aren't depressed as "norm ".it does add to my paper because it tell me about book compare to the movie that doesn't include everything . another helpful source is in the gale group Schizophrenia Encyclopedia of Human Development it is mention" no single symptom is characteristic of schizophrenia except auditory hallucinations" which is true. the source fits my research paper topic because the source talks the symptoms and diagnose which is relevant to the movie.. In this research i want to explore the idea of mental illness such as schizophrenia .Within the research I would like to explore the human mind the prognosis or diagnosis. Thus, i chose portraying the human mind.

my research topic so far

The topic i chose is human mind with the source of a movie which  is called the beautiful mind . My ideas of the research topic is why the main character as well as other people has this disorder or whether certain things trigger the neuralgic disorder. Also how the main character manages to be good at math while he suffers from this disorder. Although the human mind is complex everyone differs; so i think it will be interesting to see how the main character from beautiful mind brings out these questions

My name is Debbie the name of my blog is Djbaptisteeng103 . My educational plans is to graduate from La guardia and continue my education at another college. My favorite story is the Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkin Gilman because of the symbols and it has a profound meaning.  I am between, I'm a little pessimistic and optimistic because i do believe that technology has there cons especially towards modern medicine which is great for the society but i do believe there's a downfall to that . I think it might  cause more of economic issues and loss of jobs. I do think people are in the middle about technology just as i am.
